It's funny how you can work with the same people day in and day out for year after year, but if either you or another person changes jobs, that's often where the relationship ends. It's not that you didn't like the person - in fact, when you worked together, you would often get together in your "off time" to socialize - but as soon as you were employed by different companies, you somehow seemed to have drifted apart. Working friendships are unique relationships. They are indeed meaningful friendships, but the root of them seems to be well established in the business world.

As time passes, though, there are things that can happen that make you think of that old work friend and cause you to wonder about where they've gone with their lives, and if they might like to try to rekindle that friendship and catch up on lost time. After all, you can never have too many friends, and as time goes by, you realize how important those people have truly been in your life.

The trick, though, is to find their information to be able to make first contact. The first step in this effort is to see if the information that you already have is still valid. Indeed, you could try to look them up in the printed telephone directory, but those numbers aren't always completely up to date. The printed books come out only once per year and a lot can happen in that time. Fortunately, there is a place where you can look up this information quickly and easily and find data that is quit up to date.

The answer is a reverse phone search. Start by digging up your old work friend's contact information from way-back-when. Then, type the phone number's digits into the searching field off the websites. You'll be provided with the name and address of the individual (or the business) that is currently associated with that number. If it happens to be your friend's name, then you're all set to get things going again. Pick up the phone and start dialing - you can't wait to hear that happy "hello".
